As 2024 comes to an end, we approach the completion of the FirEUrisk project. Reflecting on the year, we acknowledge the significant progress made in wildfire management strategies. However, continued efforts in prevention and preparedness will remain essential.

Throughout 2024, the FirEUrisk project reached several significant milestones. We held our last four Pilot Site Demonstration Events in Dresden, Stockholm, Rafina, and European Territory, highlighting the project’s impact in real-world settings. We also gathered twice for our Plenary Meetings to reflect on our achievements and strategies for the exciting final stretch of the project.

As winter settles in and we embrace the season of joy and togetherness, let us also remember the importance of protecting our communities and landscapes from wildfires. During this festive season, we want to thank all our partners for their hard work and dedication to better understand and manage wildfire risks.
