Our project consortium will gather once more, at our 7th plenary meeting between March 5th and 7th in the beautiful city of Athens, Greece. Together we will assess our progress and share valuable results and updates, covering all the relevant aspects of the project’s wildfire management strategy.

We will also take this opportunity to visit Rafina/Mati, the site of the wildfires that ravaged the Attica region around Athens during the 2018 European heat wave. Burning strong on the wildland-urban interface (WUI) these fires had an enormous impact on the zone of transition between human development and unoccupied land.
